Biorizon: Waste2Aromatics

Making a valuable raw material for the chemical industry from waste which would otherwise be thrown away. That is what a consortium of no fewer than 12 parties is going to be working on during the coming 18 months. This initiative by the Shared Research Center Biorizon, which is called Waste2Aromatics project, is bringing the circular economy and the commercial production of bioaromatics at prices in line with the market a significant step closer.

Biorizon: BIO-HArT-project

Shared Research Center Biorizon is significantly scaling up its research into bioaromatics. Together with 9 partners, Biorizon is going to work, within the framework of the cross-border BIO-HArT project, during the coming 3 years, on scaling up the technology for the production of aromatics from biomass. At the end of 2018 this is intended to result in workable process installations which can produce kilos of test samples for the industry.

Biorizon: SCeLiO-4B

Together with partners Chemelot Institute for Science & Technology (InSciTe) and Brightlands Chemelot Campus, the Green Chemistry Campus has received a European and provincial contribution to help organise, coordinate and scale up research into bioaromatics in the south of the Netherlands. Campus-based Biorizon, Progression Industry and Nettenergy are part of this project, which is named SCeLiO-4B.
