Last month, the innovation and business booster programme BioVoice concluded a successful second round of biobased and circular challenges during a beautiful online closing event. The result: 8 innovation contracts between large companies and SMEs/start-ups, and a lot of new knowledge and contacts for the region (West and Central Brabant and Zeeland). For those interested in taking part: the third round has already started! BioVoice is looking for large companies/larger companies that have or can formulate a relevant innovation question and want to bring it into the new cycle.

Will you also become a BioVoice challenger?
In order to participate as a ‘challenger’, a company must have a minimum size of 100 FTEs. And preferably be located in the BioVoice work area. The challenge may be in the field of technology, process or application and must have a biobased or circular focus. Think, for example, of an issue relating to high-grade residual flow and waste flow valorisation. The use of biobased raw materials in product development. Or process optimisation and sustainability. It goes without saying that it must be possible to solve the problem through open innovation.

BioVoice will pick up challenges from now until the end of January 2021. A challenge must be registered by 31 January next at the latest. The challenges will then be published on the BioVoice challenge platform in the spring of 2021. SMEs and start-ups will then have the opportunity to upload their possible solution, idea or product in the form of a pitch for a period of 8 weeks. In the previous round, this resulted in a record number of 85 applications, ultimately resulting in 17 attractive, concrete cooperation projects. Next year yours? Join BioVoice!

BioVoice connects demand (large companies) and supply (SMEs/start-ups) in the field of biobased/circular innovation and thus brings innovative ideas to the market. The initiators of BioVoice are REWIN West-Brabant, Green Chemistry Campus, the province of Noord-Brabant and Rabobank. Dockwize, Impuls Zeeland, Centre of Expertise Biobased Economy and Midpoint Brabant are connected as partners for the implementation. BioVoice was made possible by a financial contribution from the Regiodeal Midden en West Brabant.
